WOW August is just flying by! It sure has been a fun and busy month!

My most recent project has been framing our bathroom mirror. I of course got the idea from Pinterest. There are tutorials for this EVERYWHERE on there. I mostly looked at this blog for guidance.

I didn't take any step by step pictures because I am bad at following directions and pretty much do my own thing. I would say it didn't turn out perfectly but definitely adds a little something to a boring bathroom! Here is what I did in a few easy steps....

1. Take a trip to Home Depot (Tyler asked what I wanted to do for my birthday and I said Home Depot. I had been wanting to try this for awhile).
2. Pick out your molding. They have a convenient "cut it yourself" station so you can have all your pieces cut to length right there in the store.
3. Find a miter saw/box and cut a 45 degree angle on all corners
4. Use some Liquid Nails for Mirrors to adhere the molding right onto the mirror. Make sure not to use too much because it will start leaking out the sides.
5. Use caulk to fill in any gaps in the corners or anywhere that needs touching up.

I don't know what I did with the before picture but here is an AFTER shot.

This past Saturday was Miss Maggie's first birthday! I had the privilege to make her first ever birthday cake :)

 Isn't she cute!

Tyler and I were able to FINALLY make it down to Ann Arbor. Usually we make it down there every year for the Art Festival (which I highly recommend!) but we weren't able to go this year. It was so nice to walk around campus and see how much everything has changed. Most of our time there consisted of eating at all our favorite restaurants. We also got to see our good friends Mallorie and Phil, help Phil celebrate his birthday and meet their cute new Dachshunds!

Ashleys 70 beers on tap

Of course our favorite Brownie Sundae at the Pizza House!

Did not take long for us to make it disappear!

Dominick's Sangria!!

And of course the Big House

  1. I need to try this infamous sangria I have heard you talk so much about the past seven years since I am now legal.
